As An Atmosphere
L&T Pilates prioritizes calmness and beauty in their space. Entering the studio will give you the space to turn off from the outside world, relax into your workout, and leave feeling accomplished, empowered, and energized
As A Workout
We are an alternative to studios that only practice Classical Pilates or high intensity Lagree Fitness. L&T's method is rooted in the foundation of Classical Pilates, but offers a contemporary twist making it more approachable to all bodies and fitness levels. Classes are creative, athletic, and taught in layers to allow clients to choose the intensity that is right for their body that day
As A Result
We offer results focused classes that are fast paced, energetic, and fun with modifications for all levels. Whether you are looking to build strength, flexibility, improve posture or balance, L&T Pilates is the studio for you.
As A Community
With our small class sizes, you’ll enjoy a sense of community and personalized attention from your instructor. The intimate setting also gives you the freedom to explore variations and flows that aren’t possible in larger classes.
The L&T Pilates team is made up of passionate, highly trained instructors who are dedicated to helping you move with strength, intention, and confidence. We believe in thoughtful guidance, personalized attention, and creating a supportive space where every body feels welcome.
Meet Our Team
DISCO REGESTER
-
Disco (she/they) brings over a decade of experience in public libraries — a career built on investing in community and connecting people to life-improving resources. She came to Pilates as a way to invest in herself, shake off the stress of life, and improve her personal fitness. Which means she knows firsthand what it looks like to show up, put in the work, and discover what you're capable of along the way.
Disco holds a 500-hour comprehensive Pilates teacher training certification and maintains a consistent personal practice — always refining, always learning. Her teaching emphasizes intentional movement, proper form, and accessibility for all bodies. Most importantly, she creates a space that's fun and supportive so clients can challenge themselves, build confidence, and leave feeling strong, energized, and glowing.
JOYCE LIANG
-
Joyce (she/her) grew up playing competitive tennis and re-discovered Pilates during the pandemic after a period of working long hours and deprioritizing her health and fitness. What began as a low-impact, sustainable practice became a transformative way for her to feel stronger, more balanced, and more aligned.
Comprehensively trained through Balanced Body, Joyce blends classical Pilates principles with contemporary, strength-focused movement, emphasizing alignment and intentional progressions to support long-term strength and mobility. She values Pilates for its adaptability and believes movement should meet each person where they are, helping clients leave class feeling strong, balanced, and confident.
KAT BRAULT
-
Kat (they/them) is a professional dancer and Reformer Pilates instructor who brings a grounded, thoughtful presence to every class. Their movement background shapes a deep respect for precision, flow, and how the body moves as a whole.
Kat is Balanced Body certified in Reformer through Pilates Education Collective and is currently pursuing their Balanced Body Comprehensive training. Their approach to Pilates is informed by personal experience with a permanent spinal injury and rehabilitation, reinforcing their belief in Pilates as a powerful, practical tool for building strength, awareness, and trust in the body.
In class, Kat’s teaching style is creative, clear, and encouraging. Expect intelligent sequencing, athletic flow, and precise cueing—delivered with warmth, humor, and strong instructor energy. Kat’s goal is for clients to feel supported, challenged, and more connected to their bodies every time they step onto the reformer.
FRANKIE FRANCES
-
Frankie (she/her) has spent two decades teaching, training, and empowering women and girls to move through the world with more confidence. Her background weaves together Pilates, functional movement, yoga, and somatic practice — a breadth that shapes how she reads bodies and builds classes. A recent cross-country move from Maine brought her to Oakland, and her curiosity hasn't slowed down since.
Frankie holds a Reformer and Mat certification through Club Pilates. She specializes in working with clients across all ages, fitness levels, and physical histories — including those navigating injuries or limitations — and has a particular gift for meeting people exactly where they are. Her cueing is clear, relatable, and grounded, with room for humor and the occasional moment of silliness.
At L&T, Frankie focuses primarily on private sessions — though you'll catch her on the class schedule too. Expect thoughtful variations and progressions, a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and an instructor who genuinely wants you to surprise yourself.
KATIE FREEDMAN
-
A Pilates enthusiast for over 15 years, Katie (she/her) draws from extensive experience training in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City to offer engaging, creative, and fun flows that are appropriate for everybody.
She is classically trained through Balanced Body for Reformer and Pivot Pilates for Mat. She believes deeply in the power of Pilates to transform lives—whether it’s finding a workout you genuinely love and stay consistent with, or rehabbing and rebuilding strength after major life transitions, including her own recovery post–twin pregnancy. Katie loves to teach a class with a contemporary twist that is results focused, challenging, and fun.
